A highly spiced nose speaks of anise

Both the 2010 and the 2009 continue to blow me away every time I taste them

here the nose is quite restrained but exceptionally elegant and pure with white flower

While La Tâche is almost by definition a superbly elegant wine there is also always an inner core of muscle

This is sufficiently forward that it could be enjoyed young

Here too there is a lovely sense of energy and punch to the muscular but not really rustic broad shouldered flavors that also possess very good if not sensational mid palate concentration before culminating in a balanced and palate coating finish.
