2022 | Villota 'Vina Gena' Vinedo Singular | Rioja Rigal Pronounced honeyed and floral aromasOne of the winerys rare 100% Tempranillos, the medium bodied 2022 Vina Gena Vinedo Singular is from one of its first single vineyard sites, planted in 1930 in deep sandy soils near the Ebro River. It is named for the grandmother of co founder Carmen Perez Garrigues, who served as the president of Contino in its early days. The river environment helps keep the vines cool in the heat and, as such, it reveals slatey textured layers of juicy red fruit.
