It is best to find which number is stamped on yours and just replace it with one of the same number

check with your parts diagram if this is the actual one provisioned for your engine as there were various similar remote oil filters that were used that were selected based on the types of risers that were used

Basically this would have been found on MerCruiser Gen I Transom assemblies 1983-1990 (square gimbal ring / square steering lever)  (Just confirm with your parts diagram)
