Naveran's Brut Vintage is none of those things: estate grown, organically farmed, vintage dated, and built from the classic Catalan trio of Xarello for structure, Macabeo for fruit and Parellada for lift, off vines planted between 1970 and 1995 in clay and limestone. It rests at least a year on the lees, which lends a whisper of toast without dulling the crunch. The family has been
