Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Bourbon Ballast Point including A Gold at theSmooth, not hot, aroma, with lots of vanilla and custard. The nose doesn't lie; its'a all there, gentle and easy to hold on the tongue, though there is some heat at the finish that curls around the custard. The oak dryness is surprisingly restrained for an older Bourbon.
