This past fall a group of fellow artists went to the Desert Botanical Garden to take in the butterfly pavilion

This guy was hanging out on the wall in my backyard and gave me plenty of opportunity to shoot him standing

I love hiking in these areas because of the rocky architecture

In the spring and fall, when leafed out, a bright orange red set of blooms bursts from each gnarled limb. The patterns of cast shadows on the ground have always captured my attention.
