The 2017 year was early and relatively small, so we brought in our Bordeaux varietals earlier than usual, luckily missing the devastating October res. Harvested in late September and early October and fermented for three weeks at temperatures in the 70s, these grapes yielded deep, intense wine that conveys a taut freshness with great aromatic purity.
