This was created in about 1952 as part of the earlier production line up that were officially Deluxe watches as opposed to the 12 15 range. This horn lug case design was seen on high end watches such as Omega prior to this but was used to a greater extent by Smiths than any other company. The distinctive high bezel section construction is for a specially cut crystal which clips in
