The Feather an Original Peacock Oil Painting natural colours I can create a complementaryOil on canvas with iridescent embellishment and gold leaf 23 x 23 cm framed This one started with a real peacock feather propped up in my studio. I became completely absorbed by the detail of it the way the eye sits at its centre, the delicate filaments fanning out around it, the extraordinary range of colour held within a single plume. I wanted to capture all of that in paint, close up and unhurried. The result is an intimate, almost meditative piece
