It threads onto a 1in x 8tpi headstock thread. Collet chuck base (PKHA01) is pre threaded at 1" x 8tpi to mount on your lathe's headstock spindle; Chuck can also be mounted on a different spindle thread by using a correct adapter. Flats on the collet nut accept 7 8" wrenches (not included) for tightening and loosening.
