Originated in the late 1800's as a drink called a Cuffs & Buttons, made from bourbon and peach liqueur in which fresh peaches were marinated. The peach taste made the bourbon much more palatable to those that did not like straight whiskey. It also has citrus and orange overtones and is not too sweet.
