The standard CCT (Covered Carriage Truck) vans were 4 wheeled vans used to provide express parcel services to many small locations where a full parcels service was not provided

The conversion was done by Hunslet Barclay in Kilmarnock and 70 Class 153’s were converted from 35 class 155 twin car sets
