Montes Malbec Alpha 2017 Bottle:12 New York's first licensed distilleryThis balanced and smooth Malbec comes from Apalta and Marchige, arguably two of the finest sites in the Colchagua Valley. Powerful yet well balanced, it has characteristic chunky Malbec fruit, solid tannins and a smoky finish. This wine is deep ruby red in colour with violet hues. Aromas of ripe blackberries and blueberries appear first, followed by sweet spices such as nutmeg and black pepper. A clear note of violets blends with a hint of liquorice.
